Chandoo Mondeti directs Karthikeya 2, a mystery thriller film co-produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal. Nikhil Siddharth plays the main lead, with Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead. The music for the film is composed by Kaala Bhairava.

The film, which has generated considerable interest with its teaser, posters, and trailer, was released in theatres worldwide on July 22nd. Following its theatrical success, the popular OTT platform ZEE5 acquired the post-trailer rights for a significant sum, planning to announce the streaming release date based on the film’s buzz. However, the Telugu Film Producers Committee has imposed a rule requiring movies to be streamed only after 50 days of their theatrical run.

Karthikeya 2 is backed by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and People Media Factory, with Karthik Ghattamaneni handling both cinematography and editing. The film features supporting performances by Anupam Kher, Srinivasa Rao, and others. The film became available for streaming in multiple languages on ZEE5 on October 5, 2022. Due to its success, there are plans for a third installment, with updates expected very soon.
