Cobra is a Tamil action thriller film written and directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, who is best known for his work on Imaikkaa Nodigal. The film stars Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, and Anand Raj. Produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar under the banner 7 Screen Studio, Cobra features music composed by A. R. Rahman, cinematography by Harish Kannan, and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan. Ajay Gnanamuthu, the director, is also known for his previous hits Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal.
The title of the film was revealed on December 25, 2019. The satellite rights have been sold to Kalaignar TV. Cobra was released in theatres on August 11, 2022, and began streaming on Sony Liv on September 28, 2022. Unfortunately, the film resulted in a significant loss for the production, and as of now, there are no updates regarding a sequel.
