Vivek Athreya wrote and directed the romcom Adade Sundara, which was produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Nani and Nazriya play the lead characters, with Anupama Parameshwaran, Rohini, Naresh, Nadhiya, and Azhagam Perumal playing supporting roles. Vivek Sagar composed the music for the film, and Niketh Bommi shot the footage.

Sundar [Nani] and Leela [Nazriya] come from similar conservative families. Sundar is from a Brahmin Hindu family, whereas Nazriya is from an Orthodox Christian family. Both of them fall in love with each other, but they must convince their families to allow them to marry. The rest of the film is about how they do it.

Vivek Athreya’s writing of the characters is Adade Sundara’s greatest strength. With a premise that was borderline waferthin and a screenplay that was predictable, the film had every opportunity to fail at any given juncture. However, Vivek’s character sketches and dialogues not only save the film, but elevate it many notches.

Nani and Nazriya are both quite liked in general, and Adade Sundara benefits greatly from this trait. Actors such as Azhagam Perumal and Rohini make the most of their experience to deliver outstanding performances that enhance the movie-watching experience. The characteristics of Nazriya and Nani as children are particularly memorable.
