SJ Suryah will make his entry into the world of OTT with a web series directed by Kolaigaran’s Andrew Louis, as we previously reported. The series will be titled Vadhandhi: The story of Velonie and will be available on Amazon Prime Video.

The series was one of 40 titles unveiled earlier today at Prime Video Presents India, an event hosted by the OTT company.

Laila will make her OTT debut in the series. With Karthi’s Sardar, the Dheena actress will soon return to Tamil film. Nasser and Sanjana round out the rest of Vadhandhi’s cast.

The series will be “a dramatic noir thriller about the murder of a beautiful young girl, seen from the Rashomon-esque perspectives of an unrelenting obsessed cop, a novelist captivated by her grace, and an opportunistic news editor,” according to the creators. Andrew wrote the series, and Pushkar and Gayatri are the creative producers.
