Pawan Kalyan is the stage name of Konidela Kalyan Babu, an Indian actor. He is also a writer, producer, director, philanthropist, and politician. His films are almost entirely in Telugu. He is the younger brother of Chiranjeevi, a well-known actor.
Pawan Kalyan made his Telugu cinema debut in 1996 with Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi. In 1998, he starred in Tholi Prema, which won the National Film Award for Best Telugu Feature Film that year.
He is well known for his roles in the films Gokulamlo Seetha, Suswagatam, Tholi Prema, Thammudu, Badri, Kushi, Jalsa, and Gabbar Singh, for which he received the Filmfare Award for well Telugu Actor. Gopala Gopala and Attarintiki Daredi went on to become two of the most popular Telugu films of all time. For a brief period of time, Attarintiki Daredi was the most successful Telugu film ever.
