Prabhas was born on October 23, 1979, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Venkata Satyanarayana PrabhasRaju Uppalapati is his given name. He is an Indian actor who works primarily in Telugu cinema. His films include Varsham, Chatrapathi, Bujjigadu, and Baahubali.
Prabhas’ acting career began in 2002 with the Telugu film Eeshwar. He rose to prominence with his 2004 release Varsham, in which he co-starred with Trisha Krishnan. Following Varsham, he appeared in Adavi Ramudu and Chakram.
In 2005, he switched to a strong performance in the blockbuster Chatrapathi film, opposite Shriya Saran. Following Chatrapati, he appeared in films such as Yogi, Pournami, and Munna. Bujjigadu, his 2008 release, brought him much needed success.
From 2008 to 2014, he appeared in a few moderately successful films such as Mr Perfect, Rebel & Mirchi, and others. He made an appearance in S.S. Rajamouli’s 2015 epic Baahubali: The Beginning. This film has received worldwide commercial and critical acclaim.
The sequel to the first film quickly became the most anticipated film. In March of this year, the sequel was released. The film was shown on 900 screens, and shows were pre-booked for the first week.
