“Thor: Love and Thunder,” the highly anticipated sequel to 2017’s “Thor: Ragnarok,” was released in the United States on July 8, 2022, with a UK release on July 7, 2022. The film introduces Natalie Portman as Jane Foster wielding Mjolnir and Christian Bale as the new MCU villain Gorr the God Butcher.
Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor, with Tessa Thompson joining as Valkyrie, the new ruler of New Asgard. Unfortunately, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki does not return in this installment.
The film began streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on September 8, 2022. An announcement for a new installment in the Thor series is expected soon.
