Veera Muthuvel is a Tamil Nadu-based ISRO scientist. He received his diploma from IIT Madras. He rose to prominence after using his telescope to locate the Chandrayaan 2 debris on the moon. He became the mastermind behind the Chandrayaan 3 launch in 2023. After working on several projects at ISRO, he was named Project Director of the Chandrayaan 3. Chandrayaan 3 successfully arrived on the moon on August 23, 2023, making India the first country in the world to reach the moon’s South Pole. MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, called Veeramuthuvel and wished him prosperity.

He was born in the Tamil Nadu district of Villupuram and is the son of Palanivel. His father was a Southern Railway technician. He graduated from a private polytechnic college with a diploma in mechanical engineering. He then attended a college in Tambaram to obtain his engineering degree, and he afterwards attended IIT Chennai for further studies. Veera conducted significant research in the aerospace area as a result of his passion in space.
