“Vikram” is a Tamil action thriller film written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil, and Vijay Sethupathi in key roles, with supporting performances from Chemban Vinod Jose, Kalidas Jayaram, Antony Varghese, Narain, and Arjun Das. It was produced by Kamal Haasan and Mahendran under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International. Anirudh Ravichander composed the soundtrack and film score, with cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Philomin Raj. The movie began streaming on July 8, 2022. In a recent interview, Lokesh Kanagaraj mentioned that the next project in the series will kickstart soon.
Story
The film begins with a sequence of murders in the city, with a group of masked individuals taking credit for them and declaring war on the system. Jose (Chemban Vinod Jose) enlists the help of an undercover agent team led by Amar (Fahadh Faasil), who begins investigating Karnan (Vikram) and his son cop (Kalidas).
Amar also discovers Sandhanam (Vijay Sethupathi), the city’s top drug dealer, who operates his business with his three wives and family members in his own home, and Santhanam is under intense pressure from his boss for a missing base ingredient for cocaine weighing 900KG. When Vikram and Bejoy arrive, Amar solves the huge riddle. The remainder of the narrative is described with action, thriller screenplay that needs to be viewed on a big screen.
