Yaanai Movie postponed to July 1

The release date of director Hari’s eagerly anticipated Tamil action entertainer Yaanai starring Arun Vijay and Priya Bhavani Shankar, has been pushed back to July 1.

On his Instagram page, actor Arun Vijay confirmed the decision to move his film’s release date from June 17 to July 1 With all due respect to Vikram we are delaying the worldwide release of ‘Yaanai’ until July 1st. Team Yaanai congratulates Kamal Haasan sir, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and RKFI on their unprecedented success.

According to sources, the film’s release has been delayed because director Lokesh Kanakaraj’s ‘Vikram’ is still doing well and theatre owners are hesitant to pull it from their screens.

As a result, ‘Yaanai,’ which was set to release on June 17 alongside ‘Veetla Vishesham,’ the Tamil remake of the Hindi hit film ‘Badhaai Ho,’ has dropped out of the release race for the following week.

This isn’t the first time the film’s release date has been pushed back. The film was scheduled to be released on May 6, this year. However, it was pushed back to June 17, and the release date has now been pushed to July 1.

The Zee group has already purchased the film’s satellite and digital rights.

Drumstick Productions produced the film, which stars actress Priya Bhavani Shankar as its female lead and is primarily aimed at B and C centre audiences.

The film has raised expectations because it is Arun Vijay’s first rural script in nearly 12 years.
